SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (SDR)

Role Overview

 

Hashmap is expanding our Sales, Marketing, and Alliances team to support the growing market adoption of our services. Startups to the top Fortune 500 companies rely on Hashmap to help solve their biggest cloud and data challenges.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a critical role in the success of Hashmap by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities from existing prospect lists. We value the quality of the interactions you have with potential clients more than the number of calls you make in a day.

 

You will develop and foster a wide range of technical, analytical, and sales skills that will lay the foundation for your future. Our goal is to set you up for success as an SDR while providing opportunities for you to grow and advance your career at Hashmap. This role is an entry-level sales role that is the stepping stone for anyone entering technology sales.
 

What You Will Be Doing

 

As an SDR, you will spend most of your time working to help grow the Hashmap service offerings. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • SDRs drive net-new business and work alongside Sales, Technical Engineering, and Delivery to maximize funnel conversion and sales processes

  • SDRs may cover a specific region or industry or operate across regions and industries with varying customers

  • Discover and drive new business opportunities within enterprise and mid-size accounts that help build pipeline and business growth - outbound prospecting and inbound qualification

  • Stay in contact with prospects and customers on a daily basis via phone, value-add email, and social media, with a relentless focus to source new opportunities for Hashmap

  • Balance the reactive work of responding to interested customers with a personal, creative, and proactive approach to identify new opportunities

  • Conduct high-level discovery calls across a variety of buyers and groups within organizations

  • Become a data and analytics expert and thought leader

  • Gain skills in company research, competitive selling, and objection handling

  • Collaborate with partners on customer strategy

  • Learn our solution areas, supporting technology, and effectively communicate our value proposition with a technical or business audience

  • Effectively use Hubspot (keep it clean and document all interactions), LinkedIn, Google, and other prospecting tools to research accounts, identify key contacts and craft targeted messaging

  • Look for ways to enhance your knowledge of our industry, market, and competitors to provide the sales edge needed to secure meetings and generate revenue.
