DELIVERY MANAGER

Role Overview

Hashmap advises, architects, selects, and implements solutions for clients so that they may efficiently run their businesses, with a focus on data analytics in the Cloud. These service areas span IoT, Solution Architecture, data engineering, analytics, AI, ML, and DevOps.  

 

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our growing Hashmap team. The hire will be responsible for maintaining (and helping grow) the business relationship for Hashmap’s highest priority clients.  A successful DM will be recognized as a people person, seen as high energy, outgoing, highly organized, and with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The DM will focus on delivering customer value as a priority but always look for the win-win which advances both the customer and Hashmap’s objectives. The DM must be willing to keep abreast of current technologies utilized by our customers and develop an understanding of how those technologies will impact the customer’s business.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the VP of Sales to define a customer relationship management strategy for assigned accounts

  • Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with key customer personnel

  • Monitor customer business objectives, strategic corporate goals, technology trends, budget cycles and validated project funding

  • Identify potential opportunities with the customer organization including other business units with similar requirements

  • Manage customer sales pipeline to maximize conversion rates from leads to closed deals

  • Ensure ongoing projects meet Hashmap fiscal objectives

  • Provide feedback to Sales and the CTSO team to identify collateral (reference architectures, quick starts, POCs, accelerators, blog posts, etc) directly related to customer needs to be leveraged in the sales process

  • Directly manage project preparation activities prior to project start

  • Provide basic project management oversight for ongoing customer projects

  • Monitor projects for customer satisfaction, feedback, and delivery against objectives

  • Ensure communications and project deliverables are timely and of good quality

  • Provide regular feedback to the Sales, PMO and CTSO teams regarding project status

  • Coordinate with PMO, ITT, and recruiting functions during project preparation

  • Prepare regular reporting for the management team as required to capture the account status and outlook

  • Support training and competency processes for project team members

  • Perform HR support functions including appraising, preparation of work visa support materials, etc

  • Goal setting and performance monitoring for the assigned accounts

  • Monthly forecasting of accounts for Accounting to monitor company financials

Client Relationships (50%):

Project Maintenance (20%):

  • Provide regular feedback to the Sales, PMO and CTSO teams regarding project status

  • Coordinate with PMO, ITT, and recruiting functions during project preparation

  • Prepare regular reporting for the management team as required to capture the account status and outlook

  • Support training and competency processes for project team members

  • Perform HR support functions including appraising, preparation of work visa support materials, etc.

Skill Sets for Role:

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Strong drive to do what’s right, not what’s easy

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Deep interest in technology and desire to understand the value it brings

  • Experience leading and managing a team of direct and functional reports

  • Experience with large customer delivery management, with a track record of developing long-term relationships within a customer organization

  • Experience with sales processes and an understanding of the sales pipeline process

  • Experience with building financial models, setting commercial terms, and estimating project profitability

  • Implementation of Technical Projects

 

Technical Skill Sets (Recommended):

  • Implementation of Technical Projects, specific to Data Analytics

  • Understanding of cloud platforms

  • Understanding of cloud data warehouses

  • Understanding of data pipelines

  • Understanding of BI / Frontend DEV

Travel Expectations:

  • Please note that due to COVID - work is remote for most of 2021 but when work returns to normal (post-Covid) the Candidates must be available to travel within the Continental US as required to service their assigned clients. Occasional travel of up to one week per month may be required to assist with new business generation and for internal Hashmap business purposes.
